Hot Picks for 2015: Boybands

2015 is upon us and to celebrate, we've picked out five boybands that we think are going to big this year...

We've got absolutely nothing against One Direction (they're 'cute as a button') but it's high time that another boyband got their chance to storm the charts and take over the world. We think these five bands are all strong contenders. Can one of them become the next big boyband? Well, someone's got to do it!

1. Stereo Kicks
What do you do when you've got 8 talented, good-looking boys but not enough places at Judge's Houses? You create a big new band! Reece, Charlie, Chris, Casey, Tom, James, Jake and Barclay were all put together at the bootcamp stage of 2014's The X Factor, and despite starting out as underdogs, Stereo Kicks made it all the way to fifth place on the live finals.

2. Remedy

No strangers to our blog, Remedy know how to produce a good cover. Paddy, Tommy, Leon and Lewis have already received over 16 thousand Twitter followers and with their fanbase growing daily, we definitely think they could be a winner this year. We love this slowed-down take on Ariana Grande's Break Free.

3. Exposure
Giles, JamieRyan, Jai and Jason may only have been together since the end of Summer but the boys are certainly no stranger to the stage. They've taken part in performances across the UK, alongside acts including BGT's Harvey and Bars and Melody, as well as a sell-out headline gig in Liverpool in December.

4. Kingsland Road
Since appearing on The X Factor in 2013, the five-piece have since become four. Despite this change in dynamic, the group are as strong as ever, and are already scheduled to tour across the pond next Spring, after a stint of UK dates. As Connor, Josh, Thompson and Matt say 'The Kings are coming', but will they take the boyband crown in 2015?

5. MiC LOWRY

Hailing from Liverpool, MiC Lowry are a five-piece consisting of Ben, Kaine, Akia, Delleile and Michael. The R'n'B/soul group have accumulated an incredible 100k 'likes' on Facebook and recently supported Boyz II Men on tour. With over half a million views on their BeyoncĂ©/Bruno Mars medley, MiC Lowry are clearly set to be very popular, very soon!

There's our predictions for 2015's hottest boybands. Agree? Or think we missed someone out?
