After reviewing their track last week, we bring you more about alternative rock four-piece Lady Jane's Revenge!

Lady Jane’s Revenge hail from Cornwall on the South coast of England and formed in early January this year, through the use of online adverts. Despite their individual hardships in the past, the band are driven to make a positive impact on the music industry.

If you're wondering where the band's name comes from, it was conceived by frontman Billy prior to the formation of the group. No longer content with being used by others, he saw the name Lady Jane's Revenge as a way to sum up his lyrics - pure, honest and raw, or in his own words: "no lies and no hidden agendas". Backed by Sam (guitar), James (bass) and Ash (drums), the four-piece aim to convey this with their debut EP release 1554, which came out last month.

Describing themselves as music mad, they collectively take inspiration from an eclectic mix of artists such as UK rock band Mallory Knox, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Their sound can be likened to the first of these, who were a huge influence during the production of the band's EP, as well as Incubus, You Me At Six and Alkaline Trio.

Although Lady Jane's Revenge like to take each day as it comes, their previous jobs have included being an Apple computer specialist, mechanic, building labourer and hospital porter. A force to be reckoned with indeed!

Check out the band's track Next Tuesday, which features on their EP.
